Where is the 'wow' factor in today's solo songsters? The solo songsters of today are just well......ordinary. I grew up with Elvis, all those soloist rock'n'roll singers. When they used to appear on stage....they not only had timbre (quality) in their voices, but stage presence as well. "Wow' you used to say look at this singer. The way they moved and sang..was..well....extraordinary. What happened? The video in music (instead of the radio back then) killed the 'extraordinary artist"? Is there more concentration on how a video looks rather the artist and his/her voice. You see it USED to be that one judges NOT only the timbre (quality) of the voice..but the stage presence as well. Today BOTH are out the window I guess....as even songs written today are not up to musical technical standard
