An exciting and challenging opportunity has been opened to join this leading engineering and construction company, the role is to help develop, grow and manage the civil construction business to achieve and exceed the organisations expectations.

The existing opportunity is for a Construction Manager to be based in their Brisbane office and your business area focus will be all of Queensland, parts of Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territories.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent
• Senior management experience within a civil construction or engineering company.
• Excellent level of customer/client engagement.
• Be able to manage technical operations.
• High level of budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Leadership ability and people management skills.

Not only are the above skills and experience essential but you will also have the ability to understand and interpret financial data, understand quality systems, HR Management, understanding of relevant occupational Heath & Safety acts, regulations and legislations, knowledge of contracts and standard conditions as the apply to the civil construction industry.
