i have a vs ss commodore and when i use my wipers they smear my windscreen so i cannot see as well as before i had used them. also the arms are wobbly when they go accross my windscreen is this normal? do i need new arms or just blades? and what size blades does a vs ss series 2 take. i am sorry for all the questions it is just i don't know much about cars. please someone help me.
Yes,it would be the wiper blades. Go to a garage where they do repairs and the will supply and fit your new wiper blades.
The simple answer is you need new wipers. But, don't be fooled by slack jawed yobs who only give you half an answer! My advise is to get new blades (of course) then treat your windscreen to a clean (normal car wash) then a very light wax using normal Armoral or similar car wax. Then give it a good buff with a clean flannel cloth (ie. flannelette shirt or bed sheet). The result will be a smoothness and shine you have never before seen as well as a surface that will make you feel like a git for every having bought the likes of "rain-ex" etc. Try this and let me know. You may well find that by giving all windows on the car the same treatment, you see better and make the car look like NEW.
your car has a gremlin in it... is it manual? if so the wipers all do this when they are getting old... i am happy too fix it for you... you just need too take my cheq for 8000 and sign over the rego papers... only if its manual!
