If you have every tasted or cooked Thai food you will agree that, one the very popular ingredients in Thai food is shrimp paste. We recently came across an interesting way to add a fuller taste to the shrimp paste. This was explained in a Thai green curry recipe but, can be used for just about any Thai dish where you need to add shrimp paste.

Check the recipe and find out how much of shrimp paste needs to be added. Next, take out just that much of shrimp paste and wrap it in an aluminium foil. Now place this foil that has the shrimp paste in it, below the grill. Heat it for around 2 to 3 minutes, turn it a couple of times during this time. Allow the packet to cool, take off the shrimp paste and use it in the food recipe. You will be impressed with the richer and fuller flavour that your shrimp paste now gets.

Please remember not to put all the shrimp paste to heat. You should heat just that portion that is required in your recipe.

By the way, we saw this tip on this link:

Does anyone know of a vegan shrimp paste substitute or even just a decent approximation of the shrimp flavor? I'm staying with my omni sister and she wants me to make a panang curry but the paste includes shrimp paste. Honestly, I don't even know what shrimp tastes like and if it were just for me I would be inclined to just leave it out completely, which is what I will probably end up doing anyway, but that is probably what my sister really likes most about it so I'm at least asking.you may also visit our site "http://www.ira-401k-realestate.com/IYF-Video-Opt-In/".
