Do you ever experience sexual desire?

Women understand and experience sexual desire in a variety of ways. As yet, research into this important area of sexual health has been sparse.

My name is Denisa, and as part of my doctoral studies in clinical psychology through Deakin University I am conducting an empirical research study designed to examine what constitutes a ‘normal’ range of sexual desire in women who are currently involved in a long-term (over 1 year), heterosexual relationship.

The aim of my research is to investigate what sexual desire actually is, and the types of factors that influence it. From the results of this research, a scale will be designed to measure levels of sexual desire for use in clinical practice.
