This brand new 60 bed architecturally designed aged care facility will provide a new benchmark in aged care for Kyneton. We will offer low care and high care, and ''ageing in place'' with large single rooms and ensuite bathroom facilities. This facility will be fully accredited and licensed to receive annual recurrent funding by the Commonwealth Government and we will have a certain number of places for full, part and non pensioner residents. Residents will be able to enter at either low care or high care, and receive full nursing care by registered nurses and care staff rostered on duty 24 hours a day. Aged care experience will be well regarded, although recent experience within the acute sector and familiarity with health care accreditation processes will be well regarded. FACILITY MANAGER: Registered Nurse Div1, Full time Position Mon Fri. Full day to day operational management of the facility with significant support from head office staff. You will be a level headed well credentialed RN. You will have prior demonstrable experience in managing a health care facility, or be a unit manager acknowledged by your peers as a natural leader providing direct leadership in quality care, and day to day management of employees, and support to resident/ relatives. REGISTERED NURSES Div 1: Full Time Part Time and Casual RN's required for day, evening & night shifts. RN's in this facility will need to be capable of directing staff in their charge with delivering quality care. Some RN,s with higher level computer skills may be selected as ACFI Coordinators. MEDICATION ENDORSED RN Div 2: Full Time Part Time and Casual EN's required for day & evening shifts, particularly those with medication endorsement. Experience with ACFI, or RCS PERSONAL CAREWORKERS All Shifts will be available, including those able to work Full Time Part Time, or Casual. Recent Aged Care Experience and Cert 3 or 4 in Aged Care would be preferred. RESIDENT ACTIVITIES: Prior experience and qualifications in working with the frail aged, and ability to develop programs for residents with dementia and memory loss. Ability to engage with volunteers and the wider community. RECEPTION / SECRETARIAL: Exceptionally well organized person with fast accurate typing or role in professional office, eg Legal, accounting, medical etc. Proficient in use of email, MS Word & Excel, MS Publisher. CATERING: Cooks, Kitchen hands, Weekdays & Weekend shifts. Food Handling & Food Safety Certificate Certificate required. All Food is prepared fresh each day, and experience with catering for aged persons would be useful. HOUSEKEEPING: Cleaners, Laundry Hands required including weekends for day shift only. MAINTENANCE: Part time position (30hours PW) for person with good basic maintenance abilities, understands the general workings of machinery, is resourceful and enjoys well presented gardens.
