Consistent with our growth, we are now seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller as part of our leadership team and to oversee the accounting and finance management of our company in Australia.  Based in Melbourne and reporting to the CEO, your new role includes:





  • Direct oversight of the accounting and financial functions

  • Overall responsibility for a number of entities

  • Supervision of the finance team (6)

  • Preparation of the monthly financial statements, including analysis and reconciliation of all key balance sheet and income statement accounts

  • Preparation of the annual budget

  • Analysis of operating results and a comparison of those results to prior year and budgeted results

  • Cash flow management

  • Preparing, coordinating and managing acquisitions and feasibilities.


Finally, we would expect this person to take a leadership role in interactions with our other managers to support continued growth and improvement in profitability, and perform projects as required by the CEO.  



Essential for this role will be: 10+ years experience in an accounting/finance function with 5-7 years management experience, preferably in a retail or wholesale environment. Experience as a Financial Controller or CFO and a degree in Accounting is essential. CPA or CA certification is preferred.  Equally important will be your strong understanding of finance, technical accounting and demonstrated experience managing the accounting infrastructure in a successful enterprise. Your excellent analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with experience in people evaluation and management are part of what make you a natural leader. Expert proficiency with Excel,  and hands-on experience with accounting packages, (such as Arrow).
