The Opportunity
Monash University Library is seeking to fill two full-time, fixed-term maternity leave replacement positions. The successful applicants will work in a team responsible for the ordering of new resources from vendors for both print and ebooks and also for assisting in the provision of access to the library's collections through the public catalogue by undertaking copy cataloguing functions.
Applicants should possess a recognised library technician qualification, or equivalent relevant experience and/or training, and have a good understanding of cataloguing and metadata tools and standards. Knowledge of library acquisitions practices and the library book supply business is highly desirable. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate attention to detail and have excellent computer, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
These positions are an excellent opportunity for someone who seeks to develop acquisition and cataloguing skills while working in an innovative academic library.

Remuneration package: $50,096 - $53,586 pa HEW Level 4 (includes employer superannuation of 9%)
