My Client is currently seeking a National BDM to sell Automation Solutions for the Industrial Sector. They are a Global organisation who is the clear leader from within their market place. They are a company that attracts the best candidates and constantly looking for proven Sales professionals within this space.

Role

  • We are looking for a Business Development Manager who has experience in selling into Industrial and Manufacturing Sectors
  • With 2 new acquisitions we now have an excellent Automation Solution offering
  • Working closely with National Channel Partners, you will sell directly and partner with the channel
  • Product wise you will be selling a varied and large portfolio of Industrial and IT related cables, ethernet switches, sensors and related Automation equipment. 
  • Selling to Production Managers, Maintenance Managers, Service Managers and Procurement and 3rd parties such as consultants and contractors.
  • Working closely with the senior Business Managers your aim will be to work on major projects within your region. Our focus is multi million projects rather than small commodity based sells.
  • The role is extremely autonomous. This role will be best suited for a go getter or hunter rather than a account manager.
  • With promotions within the business a regular occurrence, we are also keen to secure a candidate who has potential to move into management
  • We have a constant flow of repeat business but we are keen to develop new business in the market as well. 


We offer full in-depth training on all our products. Training & development is an on going process with regular training on current and new products as well as Sales training. We also have excellent support locally for all products which we deem essential for our sales staff.


The Requirements

  • You must have a strong background within the Automation Industry. Having a core knowledge on Automated Solutions is essential
  • If you have worked for Industrial Automation companies like Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, Invensys or Honeywell your profile will be v attractive
  • Having a proven track record with a reputable company and selling into the Industrial and Manufacturing sector is essential  
  • Having experience with Channel management is favourable.
  • Having excellent communication skills and relationship building is another key factor to being the successful candidate.
  • You will be able to work autonomously and as a part of a team and above all be hungry to step up to work for a major player in this Industry.
