Job Description

As Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for;

- the day to day running of the restaurant

- ensuring fast and quick turnover of tables

- Liaising and organising a large team of staff

- Ensure the high standards of customer satisfaction

- Work towards budgets and targets as set

- Process the weekly financial information

- Promote a positive team spirit and motivation amongst the team

- Comply to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Cash handling

- Opening and closing shifts and handing over to other management

- Maximise sales where ever possible

- Freedom to implement procedures to strengthen the business

Required Experience

The ideal candidate would have;

- previous experience and come from a structured environment within a Restaurant

- advanced social skills

- great organisation skills

-  strong communication skills

- good sense of discipline and command of the English language

ASSISTANT MANAGER

Steel Bar and Grill & Pony Lounge and Dining requires an Assistant Manager for a fast paced, high volume, food-passionate restaurant in the heart of the CBD. An amazing opportunity to become part of a young, expanding company.

Job Description

After an intensive training program, you will be reporting directly to the restaurant manager. You will be responsible for the day to day running of this very high volume and fast paced restaurant. You will be financially accountable and very service orientated. You will be fiercely passionate about food of the highest quality and will learn about all the finest ingredients – knowledge which you will use to promote the business.

You will have the ambition to progress within the company, and the initiative to drive yourself. The desire to exceed expectations is a must.

Required Experience

• High Volume experience is essential and necessary for this unit

• Previous management experience – 2-3yrs as a minimum

• Background in high quality, fine dining restaurants

• Fluent English

• Financial/Business acumen

• Customer/Service orientated with a “hands on” approach

• People Management skills a must
