The National Trust of Australia (New South Wales) is an independent charity, established by an Act of Parliament in 1945. It is Australia's oldest and largest community based organisation committed to the promotion and conservation of Australia's built, cultural and natural heritage for present and future generations.
The Trust owns or operates 38 properties throughout New South Wales, has 22,000 members, 168 staff (including 74 bush regeneration staff) and over 2,000 volunteers. The organisation's annual budget is $10 million.
 

About the Opportunity

The National Trust of Australia (New South Wales) is seeking a capable and experienced leader as its new Executive Director to implement its newly adopted Strategic Plan - Charting Our Future.

The Executive Director's main purpose will be to stay focused on delivering this plan encapsulated in the Trust's vision, "To be trusted as a leading independent guardian of Australia's built, cultural and natural heritage, and defender of our sense of place and belonging in a changing world".

The successful candidate will provide strong and inspirational leadership in developing, sustaining and promoting the role of the Trust in accordanace with its strategic plan, and position the Trust as the State's leading community conservation organisation.
