Due to unprecedented growth and the build and release of an innovative new social media product an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Developer with strong engineering skills to join this leader in mobile development.
 
Working directly under the supervision of a vastly experienced and well respected Tech Lead you will be responsible for:
 

• Object-oriented programming and design utilising PHP.
• Maintaining and updating a heavily modified Drupal installation
• Technical design and implementation of both front and back-end components of a new social networking platform
• Application build and release
• Optimisation of large scale web applications
• Providing clean and extensible solutions that can scale to a large number of users.

To be considered for this role you will need experience and exposure with:
 

• LAMP Architecture
• Source-control and other collaborative development tools and practices
• HTML and CSS
• AJAX and JavaScript
• SEM/SEO
• Social networking for mobile applications
• Large scale deployments
• Short rapid feature release
• Real time enterprise exposure to hardware and software stacks
• Knowledge of Master-Master and Master-Slave replication

 
This role will suit a strong Software Engineer/Developer with a familiarity with version control and strong understanding of Object Orientated analysis and design. Previous exposure to large scale sites with a focus on scalability and optimisation is essential as are experience with design pattern and a familiarity with TDD or Agile..
